I was planning on putting up a picture to show how Simon is grabbing his feet now, but I can't find the cord. Later, I suppose.
The baby is not only grabbing his feet, but also putting his toes in his mouth. I think part of the reason he likes being without clothes so much is that it makes it easier for him to move around. What is very funny is that he still doesn't have great control of his limbs, and so will reach for a foot, and then move his foot away from his hand. Silly baby.
I am really happy we moved into this house. I love the house, I love our yard, and I love St. Johns. I was sad to move away from the old neighborhood and all the stores and coffee places and things there, but I think I prefer St. Johns. There are a few neat places like that, enough to keep me from getting bored, but not so many that that place is overrun by snotty hipsters, and is still full of families. It's also beautiful here, much more so than inner SE.
I had a very "it's a small world" moment last week - my 5th grade teacher came by the house. He runs a dvd review website that Bob writes for, and was bringing some movies by for Bob to watch. He recognized me, which is funny, and we spent a bit of time catching up. How bizarre.
I also wanted to put up a picture of stockings I made for us this Christmas. I've been doing a lot of crafty things lately - it's really great. I enjoy doing it, and am making things for Christmas gifts, mostly because we don't have money to buy things, but also because it's just nicer. It's personal, it's unique, and I can reuse things instead of consuming more. Reuse reuse reuse! It's great.
