Life Things
I'm sure everyone has heard by now that Bob is being laid off, and has been offered a half time job at Mercy Corp with all his benefits. Great, but not enough money to pay all our bills, or eat. So we're both applying for jobs, and I just applied for one that I actually want to do. It's a front desk position at a chiropractor, and it's a job share - so it's just as part time as I'd need to work alongside Bob's job, I would be really good at it, I'd get out of the house, talk to adults, but still have a lot of time with Simon. It's in Beaverton, which is far from us, but we could still make it work, especially with the reliable car. Bob would get more time with Simon and could do his freelance work, and spend a good amount of time and energy looking for more.
So, for my praying friends, would you ask for this job for me? Maybe it's not the right place for me, but I really think it could work well and be just what we need to get by in this difficult time.

Highchair
We gave Simon Spaghetti last night, so naturally he ate in just a diaper. And I ran across a picture of baby me in the same chair.

Boxing Day
My dad and siblings came over for Boxing Day dinner. My dad gave Simon the biggest toy dump truck I've ever seen. He can ride in it, though he's too scared too yet. I think the truck will live outside in the summer, and Simon can have his own dirt pile to scoop and dump.
