Simon seems to have left toddlerhood behind and is a whole lot like a preschooler now.

He speaks in mostly full sentences, uses pronouns properly and sometimes tenses. He counts to 20 and recognizes numbers up to thirty. He recognizes about 30 words, loves to spell the four words he can spell (red, blue, hug, and kiss), and reads books and his High Five magazines, sometimes an hour at a time. He remembers people, things we've done, and is even starting to pretend just a little.

Simon is a sweet little buddy most of the time, and he's still pretty shy around other kids, but he's getting better as time goes on and we see more little friends.

He says cute things, like "where is my kitty? Where could he be? Well.... I have to find him," and "white, pink, blue, yellow. That spells Mommy, I love you!" One of the funniest things he does right now is sounding completely disinterested or bored with things, even if he's excited about it. I'll ask him if he wants to play with something or eat something and he'll sigh and say, "Oh.... I do," or "well... I have to."

He's about 37 pounds and 39 or 40 inches tall, and seriously cute.
